Her Story
Ashley B. – Owner, Grind Café
“What started in my kitchen is now a movement.”
Ashley B. didn’t plan to start a business, she just loved making great coffee. In 2019, she began experimenting with unique blends and spices from her apartment, sharing her drinks with neighbors and friends. Word spread fast. What began as weekend pop-ups at local markets evolved into Grind Café—a cozy yet vibrant space known for its signature spiced lattes and welcoming vibe.
Today, Grind Café isn’t just a coffee shop. It’s a community hub where creatives, students, and small business owners come together to work, network, or just unwind. Ashley now mentors young women looking to start food or beverage businesses and credits her success to “listening more than selling.” Her story is a reminder that passion plus consistency can build something truly lasting.

His Story
Malik T. – Founder, HustleWear Co.
“I turned streetwear into storytelling.”
Malik grew up surrounded by creativity—from graffiti on the walls to mixtapes on street corners. In college, he noticed a gap in fashion that reflected his culture honestly. So, with a few screen-printed tees and a vision, he started HustleWear Co.—a streetwear brand rooted in real stories and the grind behind every dream.
Every collection Malik drops carries a message—from “Paid in Patience” to “No Days Off.” His designs are raw, bold, and inspired by real experiences from the block to the boardroom. What started as a trunk-based hustle turned into a growing e-commerce brand with repeat customers and features in local press.
Malik believes clothing is more than style—it’s how you show up in the world. With HustleWear, he’s not just selling shirts. He’s building a movement.

Her Story
Tiana J. – Creative Director, Bold Ink Studios
“Every design starts with a dream.”
Tiana J. knew she wanted to be an artist since grade school. But instead of taking the traditional path, she turned her eye for color and form into branding work for small businesses. After years of freelancing, she launched Bold Ink Studios—her own creative agency that helps emerging brands tell their story through design.
From logo creation to campaign visuals, Tiana brings big-brand energy to small, local businesses. Her work is especially focused on giving underrepresented founders a strong, confident look online. Beyond design, she teaches free digital branding workshops in her community and regularly collaborates with nonprofits.
Tiana’s strength lies in turning ideas into visuals that speak loud and clear. To her, entrepreneurship is about lifting others as you climb—and doing it in style.
